Enjoying Summer

Rosie loves her "Baby Wukey Boy"

Terrified of her room, so always goes under her bed as soon as she goes in. Most nights, she sleeps with Jason.

Although she finds herself in all kinds of different places.

Summer time means tons of time at the pool.

Didn't take him long to fill up the car seat.

Loves her sunglasses.

Passing time at Buddy's swimming lesson.

Went to check on Jason about 30 minutes after putting him to bed. Couldn't help but crack up when I found him like this. Literally just sitting there doing nothing.

A little picnic while Mommy spent some time with Nanny.

I kept it together for a little while.

Made it to Boone for our summer vacation and celebration of our 11th anniversary.

Headed "down to the river"

Definition of vacation.

Had to hit the town and pick up a few things.

Finally found someone to keep up with her.

Willing to risk a headbutt and a hair pull to spend time with Luke.

Back to the river.

Jason makes friends with everyone.

A trip to Target usually ends up looking like this at some point.

Party at a local business with some face painting.

Neighborhood 4th of July party.

Snow cones twice in one weekend!

Half a smile.

Loves Mumford and Sons. Mumford is one of his "best friends". Still trying to time up the "whoop".

Keeping them busy in Statesville. This took up a solid 45 seconds.

Obviously have some PopPop Bates in their genes...only person I know that could make rocking on a chair on a porch a competition.

Best friends.

Dedicated to Anya! So excited for your baptism!

What else do you do when you head to the stream? Rosie always goes big or goes home.

Like I said.

Cooking up waffles and banana bread.

Survival in the Charlotte summers.

Jason and Rosie both took on this huge slide with little hesitation. Jason quickly learned to keep his feet in.

Pretty smooth dismount.

Proud of his Rosie girl.

Bad news.

Happy Father's Day!

Who is more blessed than Jason, Rosie, and Luke? Their Baba is loving, kind, patient, and fun. He is always quick to sacrifice for the sake of his children (and their mother!). My prayers will be answered if Jason and Luke turn out to be just like their dad and if Rosie finds a husband just like him as well. Not only does he set a good example to them about how to be a godly and strong man, he also shows them how to be a wonderful husband as he loves their mother incredibly well.
WE LOVE BABA!!!!
And HE loves us! Here is some evidence
(Note: Number of times each child is pictured is a direct correlation of how much effort (but not love!) is exerted into raising that child)

 Copying Baba

Baba lovingly telling Rosie to stay in her room

Rocking Luke for the 100th time

Calling during the day for a video chat (HOW HANDSOME!)

Baba is an easy man to please...good food and Underarmor gear

Sleeping on the floor countless nights bc someone is scared, not tired, sick, etc. (Baba, she's getting away...)

Wait, what happened here? Well, MOST nights are on the floor

Note the time

Unconditional love

Happy Fathers Day, Babaloo!

Love, Mommy, Jason, Rosie, and Luke
