Happy Thanksgiving

Our Mr. Potato Head.

Look out Rose...

Buddy loves helping Mom in the kitchen.

Just like any good cook, he likes to taste his work.

We had a great time celebrating Thanksgiving with the Bateses in Tennessee. Jason loved the book Uncle Bud wrote (and illustrated) back in elementary school.

Teaching Buddy a classic--Frogger.

Rosie bringing joy.

Rosie getting caught making a mess.

Jason loves to color. Rosie loves to eat crayons and markers.

Thankfully, they both are liking their hats this winter.

Hugs from Jason.

Jason was a champ at the auto shop with me. "Tasty water."

You're telling me you don't use a wrench to eat your Cheerios.

Rosie pulling off the camo.

No shirt and sweatpants in the house...if this isn't a mini Uncle Dete, I don't know what is.

It was the best of times...

Poor little Rose. It's been a rough go lately, but Pooh bear has helped her through it. She clutches little Pooh every time you give it to her.

Ready for a Sunday stroll.

Buddy now does a lot of the walking when we go out. Getting his stretch on.

Riding in style with the stadium seating.

Rose making her morning calls.

Basketball season has started, but Jason hasn't transitioned yet. Below was yesterday's exchange between Lauren and Jason.
Lauren: Do you want to go to Baba's basketball game?
Jason: No, football game.
Lauren: Buddy, Baba's coaching basketball now. Do you want to go to his basketball game?
Jason: No, football game.

Do we have a young Marv Albert on our hands?

Rosie loves playing peek-a-boo.

Happy Halloween

Happy 1st birthday to our little Rosie girl!

Stats from her year 1 checkup.
Head circumference: 18.25 in (85%)
Height: 30.5 in (90%)
Weight: 22 lb, 2 oz (82%)

Our little penguin.

Take a wild guess what Rosie is going to be next year?

We stopped by to see our old neighbors.

The best shot we got of the two. Rosie wasn't too cooperative.

Rosie is making all kinds of different sounds now.

Rosie learning peek-a-boo from Jason.

Name that tune.

Kanes, Trains, and Birthday Girls

Quality time with Kane. Of course, they shared this well the entire time.

Nuzzle nuzzle with Kane. Molly is slightly amused.

Find Kane.

Chase Kane.

The train table is a huge hit.

"Go downhill."

"Careful blocks." Obviously, Jason is calm in even the most stressful situations.

Rosie is 1 today! This was her only bite of birthday cake when we were in HH. Lauren's cake was a huge hit.

The birthday girl gives great kisses.

Hilton Head Pics

Uncle Deet and Aunt Awi flew into Charlotte on their way to HH. They had a great time.

Molly introducing Jason to "Frozen".

Both Jason and Rosie love Kane. Jason still focused on "Frozen". Molly actually looking away for a split second.

That's more like it. All eyes on the screen.

Rosie's Tupperware party. Lauren and Ma Ross did a great job.

Jason took about a 9 hour nap this day, so he didn't make it. Rosie loved being on the water.

The first time we hit high speed had her a little concerned.

Enjoying life on the water. We got to see a few dolphins up close.

Getting more comfortable.

That's weird...Uncle Deet doesn't have his shirt on.

Kane with the photobomb.

Just like the good old days. Learning to drive at age 1.

Jason loved the blue sucker he got at church.

October

Peeak-a-boo, Rosie.

Rosie loves playing with and tackling this panda.

I see this look a lot in my future.

Testing out the new lawn with a bat and a golf club.

At the local pumpkin patch.

Jason's latest obsession is definitely cars. Rolling them on the table on down his ramp take up about 2 hours every day.

The kids loved having Grandma and Papa over for a couple days. Rosie was especially obsessed with Papa. We can't wait to see them in Hilton Head this weekend.

Wrestling. Rosie is going to be one tough girl (see below).

Jason likes to be perched when he watches his pad.

Breakfast with Rosie. She can easily spend 45 minutes in the high chair eating.

One of Jason's favorite expressions. "Don't want it."

Living dangerously.

Trying to push the rubber duckies down the gutter at the pumpkin patch. Reminiscent of the old Cornfest days in Ortonville.

Jason doesn't mess around when he goes in for the hug.

Burying Papa with toys.

Looking for the page with cars on it.

Found it.

Rosie gets a point for the escape, but Jason adds another 2 with the takedown.
