End of Summer

Rosie is officially American. She now loves tv...if she could only figure out how to turn it on.

She's not afraid to get comfortable when she watches.

Jason decided to draw all of the walls during "nap time". Apparently cleaning the marks with a sponge isn't as fun as it sounds.

I was fairly tempted to never put the playground together (now finished). They enjoyed playing on the pieces scattered throughout the back yard.

Rosie is starting to get really attached to her "babies"--both her dolls and her blankets.

Hard to beat that smile.

Jason taking Rosie for a spin around the house.

Right now, she's satisfied pretending to pick up phone from her book. How long till she's asking for an iPhone?

Working on her animal sounds.

Most practical gift ever from Uncle Deet. Who doesn't need a mini marshmallow shooter?

Working on his moves.

Like I said...very tempted to just leave it like this.

Sometimes it's just hard not to brag about your kids. Jason already has Steph Curry's ball handling skills and outside shot. Such a soft touch.

Playing peek-a-boo and piano at the same time.

Jason working on his "hard to get" skills. Pulled up to the park yesterday...
Mommy: Let's go find some friends.
Jason: And girls.

Checked Rosie's baby camera during "nap time" to find this.

Highs and Lows

A little throwback. Photo cred to Uncle Deet.

Rosie loves wearing any shoes that are much too big for her.

A big thanks to Grandma and PaPa Ross for the garbage truck.

Thanks to Grandma and PopPop Bates, Lauren and I took our first vacation without any kids in 4 years. This was the view from our patio on Seabrook Island.

It was perfect timing as Lauren and I got to celebrate our 10 year anniversary at the beach.

Mommy and I are grateful that Rosie has started to watch tv for more than 30 seconds when we need a break.

Grateful for many things:
1. I am completely fine.
2. I was in the car by myself.
3. Passengers in other car (including 1.5 yr old and 6 day old) were ok as well.
4. Other driver admitted fault and has insurance.

One bummer...Arthur (our car) did not make it. It was declared a total loss, so we are looking for a new car after 9 great years with the Accord.

Eating asparagus, and she actually looks like she's enjoying it.

Jason...not as much.

This is why we got a land line. Rosie's phone is ringing off the hook.

Bored with his phone call and ready to get back to building his castle.

Rosie loves many things. The two highest on her list are Mommy and her dolls.

Buddy's bed continues to be used for anything but sleeping.

Rosie loves her songs.

Taking care of her baby.

This is what happens when Mommy leaves me alone with the kids.

It was the most productive thing we did all night.
